What we need to know about Trauma

Trauma has been growing widespread since 2020, the change of planet earth in action. Even before then, many conditions once present became more and more diagnosed. Whether there is a diagnosis or not, you could say many of us have experienced some form of trauma. And in this awakening of humanity, this trauma may be experienced even more so now.

A trauma society

When you think of trauma, you may think straight away that it is referred to as someone who has been abused severely. Not necessarily. There are many forms of trauma, and at the end of the day trauma is what your body is stressing over through your cells, in other words it is your bodies’ perception of this. Trauma works within the body.

How do you experience trauma?

As mentioned above, trauma is experienced through the body. Some of the ways trauma may show up in your body or behaviour may be:

  • shakiness in the body or body tremors

  • anxiety, fear or panic

  • over thinking

  • varying body temperatures

  • difficulty breathing

  • heart palpitations

  • disassociation or feeling ungrounded

  • body freezing or unable to talk

  • avoiding being by yourself

  • distracting yourself from feeling

  • numbness

  • emotional, crying more

  • constantly working or doing anything too much

  • and much more

The awakening and trauma

This awakening, the rising of consciousness by mother earth is putting the pressures on us, to feel more, as we open our senses. This means we will see ourselves more fully for what we are, which means we will be recognising our traumas and generally how we feel. This may be an emotional ride, however as with anything regarding our evolution, it is a process to healing.

The way through trauma

What is the process of healing? How do we get through trauma? Well your body is the key to this; stay within your body, open and trust that this is part of the healing. The other aspect to engage in, is your heart. The work I do with my clients focuses on both the heart and feeling body, as this helps release trauma; the way to healing. Your heart is your guide, it is also your place of safety. This practice of body and the heart is needed in order to relax into this process and let the body heal naturally.
