How do we Self-Love?
This must be the biggest question ever wanted to know in all self-help journeys! How do we self-love? Well if you look into some therapy concepts you may find that it is all about affirmations, self-care, understanding the power of the mind, how our perception of ourselves impacts our wellbeing, etc. But what if this is not entirely true?
What exactly is self-love?
Self-love can be described as the capacity to completely align to who you are. This is not a small matter! And this is why self-love has been misguided. Reality check: self-love takes a very very long time, it would be unlikely to love yourself completely within just one form of therapy or course. Self-love takes time, and it requires you to put yourself first as the master of your reality.
What is the path towards Self-Love?
Do you know how to put yourself first? This does not mean you are selfish or self-centred, it means you are allowing yourself to be seen, by seeing yourself and therefore giving yourself permission to be who you are in your entirety without any apology. Self-Love on some level is kindness and gentleness towards yourself, it is the self nourishment that you did you possibly experience when you were a child and so now you have to learn this for yourself. We get to real self-love when we have mastered our life lessons, we keep on experiencing life as it comes to us by learning what we need to. As we start mastering it all, we begin our journey of self-love.
