Be Aware Of So-Called ‘Spiritual Advisors’
There are so many more people now calling themselves spiritual advisors, spiritual teachers or even gurus etc. As the awaking is happening, more people than ever are learning about truth and enlightenment. People are naturally shedding their shadows and walking in light, and with this they bring light in their work to share their truth. There is nothing wrong with this as such, as by sharing the truth/light we keep building the collective in growth and towards positive impacts for all, including the planet. However as there are more people waking up to this concept, more people are delivering their truth with very little ground work.
Never have I called myself a spiritual advisor, and never will I, this is for many reasons which I will outline; these titles already paint a picture of ‘I know best’ and ‘you should listen to me’, this is of course the ego overtaking the actual work I desire to do, which in actual fact is to listen to others, as by listening we are the ones that end up learning. Secondly, a spiritual advisor or whatever term you like to use, brings in a hierarchical concept of how we are living with sheep mentality and that we must follow ‘the fake powers that be’. You see spiritual advisors are repeating the same rules as society, in that just like how a manger tells its employees what their duties are and leaves very little room for them to think for themselves, a spiritual advisor could potentially do the same thing. The spiritual advisor or guru acts as the person in charge that knows much more than the person they are teaching. This could potentially lead to cult behaviour. If we have been already brainwashed into a cult in society, then why continue like this when this is meant to be lightwork?
A real healer whether it is a Counselor, Psychologist, Psychotherapist, spiritual advisor or teacher of some sort, would ideally have experienced such turmoil in their own life for over many years and have learned alchemy fully (in regards to knowing exactly how to heal yourself from the inside). I do not share anything in my work that I haven’t been mastering myself. I have experienced my own traumas, past life times of similar wounds etc. and have learnt alchemy in the way I bring in light energy to transmute inner work for transformation. This has all been experienced by me for many years, and my clients all find this to be a key for their own inner work. I would not feel comfortable in sharing what I know if I hadn’t experienced it myself. I would be a FRAUD. In fact, spiritual advisor in many ways can be compared to a trainee straight out of university, newly qualified as a Psychologist. When I first completed my training as a Psychologist, just like many others in my course, I did not have a clue about life myself let alone counsel a client, this is very dangerous in my opinion as like spiritual advisors, although there is training available, unless you have life experience of trauma and being aware of this, I do not see how professionals in this field can hold space for their clients and guide them responsibly.
Adding to the point above, in my work it is paramount that my clients are following their own intuition and internal power. By activating your intuitive abilities, and taking action based on this, you start moving towards soul growth and practicing empowerment, which is exactly what you have come here to do! We all have our individual soul paths, and each of our souls know exactly what to do all the time, but through disempowerment of conditioning, we have been guided away from our inner self and more towards the reliance of what and who is around us that we believe have the answers. Well they don’t, only you do! So in my work I support people in learning about who they actually are so they can themselves place the teachings of their intuition. I have participated in many courses that are more holistic, that can bring about the term ‘spiritual advisor’ and through all the people I have met like me that have completed these courses there have been only a handful which I would class as being able to support people for their inner work, that means I know for a fact there are many (too many) fake spiritual advisors out there who are actually feeding their ego rather than doing their own inner work themselves. I know this as I have met many of them myself and hoped that they do not become the advisors they which they want to be.
Social media is becoming big on this concept of spiritual advisor/ teacher/guru, with many out their saying they do similar work to what I or many others in this field (with actual experience and desire to serve others) are doing. We like to believe we know the answers, but actually we don’t! These fake advisors, may be the same people that live a potentially low vibrational life themselves, who really are only learning about themselves as they are teaching you about ‘the truth of who you are’. You can never know anyone else until you know yourself. We are all wounded, and we have all come here with wounds, so of course we will always have triggers in our life (no matter what guru you think you are), however the ones who really are here to serve in light for the good and do this job effectively, are the ones who are mastering this inner work themselves. That means even if triggers come in, these people have alchemised themselves so well that no longer do they react to any of their triggers, and if they get scared just like any human does they learn on the spot how to go in deep and transmute that energy into love so they no longer feel fear in that situation. This is what self-mastery really is, and yes it takes a very long time and a fully aware person who knows themselves well to be able to do this. How many people realistically do you believe can do this?
So use your own discernment, listen to those whispers inside your heart and soul, and know that you yourself have already got the answers within you, and yes there is support out there which can be very helpful, but just be aware of the ‘advisor’s’ energy (by using your own intuition which you have) and choose wisely. And remember the person with true power is the one who is never the master!
